Recent Changes

We did a lot of notes in class. From many thing, like when we are watching movie, we are taking notes. At the beginning, I felt it is so stupid because I cannot do two thing in same time. It means I cannot take notes when I am watching movie, or I cannot watch movie when I am taking notes. I missed a lot when I was taking notes, and I cannot fellow what is going on. But after few month, when we have some questions on these movies, I found I remember all of the movie, not as before I saw the movie but forget. The notes is a strong way to remember what things happened.

and words. It improves my writing skill a lot, like normally I don't use simile, in my essay, but after I started use simile, I found that is really good thing for reader to under stand my topic.
Spring Break Reading
The Hobbit is the story before the Lord Ring. The adventure and the magic world is so great that I want to go in to that world. In spring break, I have a lot of free time, and it is the best time to read the story to Spent my boring time. It made my spring break have great experience. If I didn't get that book for spring break, that must be a very boring spring break. I love the book and the story in the book, there's no too hard words everywhere, so I can understand the story easily. But there's some name of people's name and place's name I cannot remember. They are so long and so many. There's 14 people adventure there, but unfurtrunality I cannot remember most of them. And there's many word related to the magic which I had never seen before.
Persuasive Writing
This is a kind of writing what I never tried before, and I think persuasive writing will be very useful in my college time. So, it is a good thing to try to write the persuasive writing in high school times. If there's one day teacher ask me to write a persuasive essay, I can write better. Also this kind of writing is boring, but I know this is important ability we should have.

grammerWe studied a lot of vocabulary this year from many books. I was surprised that the words we test at was choose by ourselves. And we can add the word we don't know or we need to know to list. There's 3 of words was choose by me and I still remember them all. It is a good way for memory.

For me, grammar is a big problem. That I always use wrong grammar, and take mistakes because my grammar. I found that actually I know what grammar I need to use but I cannot pay attention when I am writing things. Even sometimes I checked the grammar mistakes after I write, But it still doesn't work. After teachers circled out where are the mistakes, I can fix these mistakes easily. Some times I wrote very carefully, but the mistakes still happened.
Odyssey and Big Fish
The movie Big Fish is a movie which I saw before in China, but very long times ago. I totally forget what happened in the movie. After I saw the movie in the class, I found I was misunderstand many thing, because the time I saw this movie was only a kid. After I saw this movie, I get many deep meaning from my second watch. That what actually happened, what is important, and what this movie want to tell me. This is a movie talk about a family, which has a very great father with his strange experience. His son never believe that, and thought his father lies to him. That he left that family. And finally he found what his father told him is the real truth, he believe and understand his father.

The language in As You Like It is so strange to me. That I need spent more time on it. But after act 1 and 2, I felt I can somewhat under that quicker. I can guess the meaning of the words there sometimes. This is a great improvement for me.
Odyssey
to live. The story of Odyssey is so interesting to me. Many kind of monsters and heroes and their stories are so exciting.
Creative Writing
I wrote a lot of writing in China, and I got a lot of price in China on writing in high school time. But I found that is so hard to write essay in second language. Even I am good at writing in Chinese but it doesn't means I am good at writing in English. I found there's many thing we can understand in Chinese, but not in English. This is totally another feeling I get when I was writing. There's many word I want to use but I don't know. That is kind of killing me.

In this year, I had learned a lot of things from Mr. Yim's English class. And I can still remember the things happened by time passed away. Everything just like happened tomorrow. But in a few days, we should say good buy. So, let me write down and renew the things happened in this year.
As You Like It
This is the last book we studied in this English Class. It is a type of language I had never touched before, and it is so interesting to me. I still remember some of students said the video is not so good, but I love it. It was so hard to see the screen in my seat, and normally I just open my computer and look on it. But in that opera, I cannot move my eyes from the screen and my neck felt not that terrible when I look at the opera.
